CWM Environmental Announces Addition of D2 Environmental

Kittanning, PA -- CWM Environmental of Kittanning, PA has reached an agreement with D2 Environmental Services of Cheswick, PA. Together they will provide environmental solutions to both publically and privately owned water and wastewater facilities throughout Western Pennsylvania.

"We feel this is the right fit for CWM and a great addition to our team," said Dave Kohl, CWM Environmental President. "Their vast knowledge and 25 years of experience in water and wastewater management will greatly benefit us moving forward."

The combined company will service more than 85 water and wastewater plants in Western Pennsylvania providing water and wastewater operations, laboratory testing, sludge removal and dewatering, system design and installation, pump repair and tank cleaning. In addition, they will manage regulatory compliance and submit all Discharge Monitoring Reports to the PA Department of Environmental Protection.

"Municipalities and industries are responsible for operating water and wastewater facilities, sometimes they need assistance with operations or maintenance," said Dennis Duryea, President of D2 Environmental. "Together, we can better serve the needs of these customers throughout the Commonwealth."

CWM Environmental is a diversified full service environmental firm providing laboratory analysis of water, wastewater and fuel, as well as, treatment plant operations, sludge hauling and dewatering services.

D2 Environmental Services provides operational services for municipal, industrial and privately owned facilities and complete turnkey services for design and installation of package sewage treatment plants, pump stations and industrial wastewater facilities.

New technology helps treat waste water in Marcellus Shale operations

Two local companies involved in the natural gas industry are expecting SteelWater to run deep -- about
6,000 feet deep below the surface in the Marcellus Shale Basin where the thousands of gallons of water
used each day to produce gas must be disposed of in an environmentally safe way.

with a New Mexico company, Altela Inc., to use Altela's patented technology to help solve the water
