CHAPTER 252 ACCREDITED

Effective Date: January 28, 2006 (The date it was published in PA Bulletin)

What is it about?

All environmental laboratories performing testing or analysis of Drinking Water (DW or Potable water), Non-Potable Water (Waste Water) and/or Solid & Chemical Materials for compliance with any of the folowing statues must be accredited. (In other words, any testing submitted to DEP for compliance with any of the following statues must be performed by an accredited laboratory)

  1. The Oil & Gas Act
  2. The Clean Streams Law
  3. The Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act
  4. The Land Recycling & Env. Remediation Standards Act
  5. The Pennsylvania Safe Drinking Water Act
  6. The Solid Waste Management Act
  7. The Storage Tank & Spill Prevention Act
  8. The Penn. Bituminous Coal Mine Act
  9. The Surface Mining & Conservation & Reclamation Act
  10. The Coal Refuse Disposal Control Act
  11. The Bituminous Mine Subsidence & Land Conservation Act
  12. The Noncoal Surface Mining Conservation & Reclamation Act
